Practice Paintings
This session is about simplification and will show two possible responses to the source photograph. Shown are two of Mike's practice paintings to offer an idea of where we're heading.

Drawing. Unless you feel up to the challenge, Mike suggests you tackle only one of the paintings (either one on a sheet of paper or one in a sketchbook). In any case he suggests you complete some or all of your drawing before the session. Please note that he will leave some time during and after his demonstrations for you to catch up. Below are two examples of these drawings.
